新学期即将开始，现将有关事项通知如下：

Dear international students:

The new semester is approaching, and the relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. 上课时间：全体学生将于2月27号（下周一）开始上课。

1. Class time: Classes will start in next week (February 27th).

2. 上课方式：

（1）线上：本学期大部分课程采用纯线上上课。

（2）线下：为了给境内学生提供更好的学习体验，部分课程单独开设了纯线下课，请在境内的学生确认课程的上课方式。

2. Class types:

(1)online: Most courses in this semester will be taught purely online.

(2) offline: In order to provide students in China with a better learning experience, there are offline classes for some courses. International students in China should confirm the class types.

3. 钉钉课程群：美高梅mgm1888教学办会在开学前建好钉钉群，并将学生拉到群中，钉钉群将以“学期+课程名称+教师姓名”命名，请根据自己的课表在钉钉中搜索课程。考虑到部分学生有多个钉钉账号，我们会把所有账号都拉进群，请学生们开学之后将不用的账号退出课程群。

3. The Teaching Affair's Office of the School of International Education & Studies (SIES) will establish DingTalk groups before the start of the new semester and invite students to the groups. The DingTalk groups will be named after "semester+course name+teacher name". Please search for courses in DingTalk according to your class schedule. Considering that some students have several DingTalk accounts, we will invite all accounts into the group, you need to log your invalid accounts out of the course groups after the new semester begins.

4.  确认课表：请登录教务系统查询新学期的课表，如无法查询，请尽快联系美高梅mgm1888教学办。根据课表上的课程名来搜索钉钉群，核对课表上的课程，自己是否都在相应的群。一定要按照课表上课，如果课表和钉钉群不一致，请与美高梅mgm1888教学办联系。

境内学生请认真核对自己的课表，有线下课程的，必须到教室上课并按照线下教学要求完成学习。

4. Confirm the timetable: Please check your schedule in the Teaching System, if you can’t check it, please contact the Teaching Affair’s office ASAP. Search for the DingTalk Group according to the course name on the timetable, and check whether the courses on the timetable are in the corresponding group. Students must follow the timetable, if the timetable is inconsistent with the DingTalk Group, please contact the Teaching Affairs Office of SIES.

Students in China please check your class schedule carefully. Those who have offline courses are required to attend in the classroom and complete the courses according to the offline teaching requirements.

5. 确认名单：请关注老师在钉钉群里发布的学生名单，如果你不在名单中，请与美高梅mgm1888教学办联系。考虑到缴费注册确认有个过程，你们可以先上课，后续将会逐步确认你们缴费注册的情况，没有按时注册的将会被移出教学群，不能参加考试，也没有成绩！

5. Confirm the name list: Please pay attention to the name list published by the teacher in the DingTalk Group. If you are not on the list, please contact the Teaching Affairs Office of SIES. Considering the time required for payment and registration confirmation, you can take the class first, and then your payment and registration status will be confirmed gradually. Those who do not register on time will be removed from the teaching group, and will not be able to take exams and have no exam results!

6. 保证出勤：出勤率不仅关系到你们奖学金的评选，更会影响你们的签证，一定要按时上课，迟到超过10分钟或者只上一会就退出直播，将会被记为旷课！请务必提前10分钟到群里等待老师上课，否则有可能会错过签到，影响你们的出勤率。我们将会对出勤率过低的学生采取取消考试资格、通报处分等一系列措施。

6. Guarantee your attendance: Attendance rate is not only related to your scholarship evaluation, but also affects your visa. You must attend class on time. If you are late for more than 10 minutes or quit the live broadcast after logging in a while, you will be counted as absenteeism! Please be sure to wait for the teacher in the group 10 minutes in advance, otherwise you may miss the sign-in, which will affect your attendance rate. We will take a series of measures such as cancellation of exam qualifications and notification of penalties for students whose attendance is too low.

7. 观看回放：

（1）考虑到时差问题，课程上课时间在当地时间凌晨5点以前的，允许本学期该课程申请看回放 。请在开学第一周内提交申请表，经美高梅mgm1888核实无误后，可观看回放。

（2）其他课程原则上要求随堂上课，如有特殊情况不能随堂上课，要观看回放，需要提交申请表，由任课老师和美高梅mgm1888审核。一学期申请观看回放次数不得超过总课程次数的三分之一。

（3）申请观看回放的课程需要在一周之内观看完毕，否则该次课程将不计入考勤。

7. Watch replay：

(1) Considering the problem of time difference, if the class time of the course is before 5 am local time, it is allowed to apply for the replay of the course this semester. Please submit the application form within the first week of the semester. After verification by SIES, you can watch the replay.

(2) Other courses are required to be in class on time in principle. If there are any special circumstances, you must submit an application form to watch the replay, which will be reviewed by the teacher and SIES. The number of applications for watching replays in a semester shall not exceed one-third of the total number of courses.

(3) The course you applied to watch the replay needs to be watched within one week, otherwise the course will not be counted in attendance.

8. 缓补考：近期将会组织缓补考，请注意关注钉钉消息。

8. Delayed and make-up exams: The delayed and make-up exams will be organized recently. Please pay attention to the notifications in DingTalk.
